revisiting tether and LMB weight

Certainly the heaviest part of my set up and looking to lighten things. I have a stock aerohunter tether and LMB.

Does anyone know the weight of these and how they compare to the tethred versions? I think teathred says their teather is 11 oz. while the LMB is 13oz.
Does anyone have even lighter alternatives other than amsteel?

Re: strapping for teather... Other than nutters mod, has anyone come up with a webbing strap tether idea? I'm reconsidering something like LW strap and buckle??
Thanks, Tom

I just swapped out all of my AH Kite stock lines with OpLux. The AH tether with Kong and carabiner was 1lb 2.6oz, the OpLux with Kong and carabiner was 10oz (I didn’t weigh the limes by themselves). Both were about the same length 8’. So about 1/2 lb reduction each. The bigger benefit is the reduction in bulk. I daisy chain my LB which hangs from the side of my saddle, can’t even tell the OpLux is there.

THANK YOU! Where did you get you stuff for this switch?

Bought the OpLux and Kong’s from Wild Edge, they have 8.5’ line with a sewn loop. I was also using the Oval twist lock carabiner from WE, but recently switched to the oval kong screw lock carabiner from DanO’s Eastern Woods Outdoors.

I also replaced my Kite fixed bridge with the same OpLux/Kong combination which gives me an adjustable bridge that doubles as my second lineman’s belt.
