Riders! MABDR

@Red Beard You are litterally in my back yard. If there is anything that you need, spare vehicle (car, truck or bike) for the day, trailer to get you home, another night's stay, let me know! I bought my F800ST at Frontline, they are good folks and hopefully will take care of you and your bike.
What a great community we are blessed to share here!

Thank you so much Steve! They said parts should be here sometime this morning and we'll be on the road 3 hours after that.

Seriously! Well my offer still stands, I have 2 bikes here, several vehicles, and a fully furnished rental townhouse that is sitting empty right now, so if you need anything, let me know.
So good bro. Thank you!

Tell you what... If you've got a few hours to kill this morning and a lefthand recurve, I'm in! :D

No other place will you find such generosity than from the hearts of those that frequent Saddlehunter.com! Thanks for bringing us together @redsquirrel

Another night in the hotel.

BMW is covering tonight's stay though because the parts didn't come in. They also gave me a loaner for the afternoon. I was able to meet my brother near Floyd and we rode a bit of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was a good time. Hopefully we'll be on the road.

I road a 15 mile mountain stretch of the MABDR that he would have ridden and found a nice BlackDiamond carabiner on the trail. No wreckage or other saddle gear, so I'm sure he's okay!

Hey all! Everything is good and I'm back home now. Such a blast on the backroads of VA, WVA, PA, and MD! Days of offroad took their toll on my body and I'll need a few days to recuperate prior to posting the story. Thank yall for your prayers as we traveled.

Ohhh.. Let me translate...
I had lots of fun. My wife is mad I was gone for ever. She gave me a list of things that need to be done. The kids are driving her crazy and she needs a break. She said you don't have time to sit around on that silly forum.. Lol. J.k.. Glad your back safe and sound.

Nah. You got it all wrong. This woman is the best there was ever made!

Man, I've been off this site for a while and you guys are out having a ball!! I was down in Kingsport, TN over Memorial Day Weekend picking up a "new to me" R1200GS. I got it home and have been adding goodies to it and getting it the way I want it. I had to sell my beloved R1100S to get it... But I'm really liking this GS. It's a 2009 with only 9K on the clock.
The first week in August myself and a few buddies are heading down to the Blueridge Parkway. In 4 days we'll travel through Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia dipping into North Carolina, Kentucky and Indiana on our way back to Michigan. Mostly 2 lane roads with no dirt that I'm aware of. I'd like to hear more about the Mid-Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route for a possible future ride. They can say what they want about those big GS's but as much as some folks want them to be, they ain't dirt bikes.
