Hey guys. This warf bow stuff really has me intrigued. I currently shoot a compound but have a 54 bear kodiak that I do tinker with. I have 4 kids and my 2 oldest daughters are getting to big for their kids bows. I have this lefty pse from my brother in law and wondering if it could be warfed. It is 23 inches at the longest point and 17 inches at the limb bolts. Been reading about what bows this can be done with and this isn't on any list I can find. I know not all bows are on the list but and just looking for some confirmation of sorts. This probably won't be done anytime soon as season is close and I work a seasonal job piling sugar beets for a couple weeks(cuts into hunting but helps build up the savings). Any help is appreciated.

I have seen it done on that riser. I don’t have any more details than that. I do like the style of that riser though!

Thanks. Looks real close to many warfed bow that I have seen.

Yeah, if kind of looks like the hoyt pro vantage I used to have. Which was also 23” I believe. That will make a cool warf for sure.

You may want to find out what the limb pocket angles are. It would suck if they were not a great angle.

Thanks guys. Now to figure out poundage and limbs. Never seen it anywhere but does anyone use a string stopper on recurve? Just thought I could cut down cable guide and add a rubber end.

You don’t want a string stopper on a recurve. Can use limb dampeners near the curve of limb or Velcro and limb savers on fade outs of limbs. Basically tune the bow and it should be fairly quiet and then add your silencing doo dads.

I didn't think so. But it looked easy to do.

I have a 23" PSE riser very similar to yours and made some ILF plates for it. Just need to JBWeld them in place and make a string. The riser is kinda clunky but it might make a decent shooter.

Thanks man. Think I am going to go with something like the sage limbs to begin with. Just for simplicity and costs

Well I took the bow apart. No pics. Have it in my car to bring to work tomorrow. We have a precision level at work. Gonna check out limb pocket angles with precision digital level.

Dave, are you still making plates sir? I understand there were a few guys over at TT who made them years ago. Can't seem to find anyone that does it now though. Little bird says you're from TT...

Think you'd put smiles on a few of our faces if the answer is yes, you can fab them up. :) We've got quite a few candidates over on the Old Bow thread.

Red, I'm not making aluminum plates. One of my buddies has a 3D printer and we've collaborated to produce a few prototype plates with his printer. They have not yet been installed and tested in a riser, although I'm pretty confident they're going to work just fine. This project is on the backburner right now but I'll let you know when I have more to share.

Right on sir. Thank you for responding!
