Rappel Rope Roll Pouches
Constructed of 500d Cordura DWR(3 layers) at top to minimize sag. Available in Strata, Multicam OCP, Woodland and Viper woodland(cruzr) patterns with matching camo binding on the pouch perimeter. Pouches are Mil spec heavy mesh with YKK nylon zippers. Available with G hooks or nylon side snap...

It's still entirely unclear to me why anyone needs a bunch of pouches. What do you use them for when hunting? I carry my lines in my pack. When I get to the tree, I have a single 38 foot 8mm rope for my tether/safety, which hangs behind me as I climb, and a 7 foot lineman's rope. Both are attached to me the entire time I'm climbing the tree, whether one-sticking (only done it once so far in a hunt) or using multiple sticks. (I only use the lineman's rope if I need to go around a limb.) What goes in the pouches?

In my pouches is everything I need to climb/descend/self rescue. I can't tell you how many times I've lowered my pack to the ground only to discover something I needed was in it.
I never lower my pack to the ground until I'm lowering myself. I carry my weapon on my pack (DIY hunting pack) and everything goes in it or my pockets. I guess I use my jacket pockets instead of dump pouches but the only thing that goes in there is my gear sling. If I decide to use my lineman's rope instead of a dedicated gear sling, I won't even have that in my pocket.
So you don’t have to carry a pack....just a fanny and a couple of pouches.
Literally every person I've seen videos of also carries a pack. Obviously that's a small sample size and maybe I'm missing something. My pack is far more comfortable and can be used as a hauling system far better than any pouches around my waist could be. To each their own, I guess.
I used to carry a pack, which only encouraged me to carry a lot of “just in case” items. Then one day, after an especially arduous slog through the swamp, I decided to go through every item in my pack and decide whether I actually needed it or if I could live without it. I even ditched the water bottle in favor of a filter straw that only weighed a couple of ounces; never used it. After decluttering, I realized that my pack weighed more than what i was going to carry in it. So I put some things in my pockets and some in a nylon bag about the size of a shaving kit and carried any occasional clothing in a featherweight mesh bag. This year I’m going to go tweener with an Alps Little Bear fanny (1lb 9 oz) with a nylon turkey game bag (2oz). In the spirit of not carrying anything I don’t need, if my ropes will fit in that fanny, which I will be carrying anyway, I will probably ditch the dump pouches also. It really is to each his own, as it is with every thread on this site. I don’t mind different opinions because it gives me a chance to question my own biases and possibly open my eyes to other potential options. I certainly don’t subscribe to the old “that’s the way we have always done it” mentality. All my buddies will be hunting in their climbers again this next year, while I will be in a saddle. I may end up back in climber occasionally if it makes sense for the particular situation, but I won’t ever go back to that mentality again. Good luck this next season!

Thought this thread was going to answer my question. So you want a pouch, but why a roll pouch over a dump pouch?

Roll pouch offer organization which some people find reassuring and more confident in their gear. Just like some people preferred a simple pack with one large compartment, other preferred a pack with a lot of pockets, 'everything has its place etc etc'. A roll pouch allow for storage of rope easier IMHO, you are not stuffing things into a pouch, its neatly roll together and you can store 20 ft or 70ft the same way. I carry both actually, the roll pouch has everything I need to go up and down the tree, while my dump pouch carry everything else (calls, ER kit, snacks, knife, etc). For early season I'm going with just 2 pouches on saddle walking in.

If you like things organized and easy to get at it when you need it, the roll pouch is the way to go. If you're just going to dump it all out when you get to the base of the tree, then no need.

I am not much for arts and crafts and have very limited extra time right now. I was wondering if any one had a contact for someone that would be interested in making a roll pouch for me. I have seen the one off of Carl Kossuth video he has on youtube and think its a great setup. I would be looking for something similar

@mlbowhunter49, I tried the roll pouch this season. I made my own so maybe I have dimensions off, but I found it difficult to use one handed. I do really like the organization factor of it. I was keeping my tether and my lineman's in there as well as my daisy chain for hanging gear and my bow hook. I made an extra velcro pocket for putting my license and snacks in but haven't used that yet.
In the end, though, I went back to keeping all that in front pockets on my harness because I was having so much trouble using the roll pouch. I'm thinking of modifying it this summer to be a "vertical" roll pouch that straps to my thigh for more stability and try again this coming season.

If you do pursue a thigh based rope pouch I'd be curious to see what you come up with. I've had similar thoughts. Have you seen the one stick rope pouch from Legend? It goes on your saddle but it looks nice and could possibly be reworked to be a thigh rig
