ROS strap replacement

Anyone used the Nite Ize Cam Jam for a replacement strap .. I have a few in my work truck and the ratchet just broke on my bullman ring of steps
 
If you try it I’d be curious to know how it works. I have doubts it get as solid as a ratchet strap but could be a good lightweight and quiet solution if it does.
 
Well it held ok on a telephone pole .. need to try it on a tree.. slight walking down while shifting from front to back
 
I bought the OCB buckle/strap and separate buckle. I ended up using the Hawk strap since it has the loop on the end and it’s easier to attach to the button versus rethreading the buckle. It’s my platform strap but I also have two monkey bars on there as well. Love it, can’t see changing it out.

I also used a a piece of amsteel I made looped ends on to attach the buckle to the button. I just wrapped it around the buckle a few times and it never comes off.
