With season fast approaching I've been trying to practice as much as I can in my backyard. Shooting, climbing, getting set up in the tree etc. So on opening day hopefully I won't be fumbling around in the dark creating a ton of excess noise. As most of us know this isn't exactly the coolest time of the year and it's pretty easy to break a sweat right now. What do you guys do about washing your saddle? Just throw in the washing machine in scent free detergent? Is there anything you remove prior to washing? I just don't want to tear anything up lol

I wash mine 4 times with RealtreemossyoakPrimosWaddell guaranteed scent killer detergent, and double rinse each time. Then I wrap it with a HECS shirt and nuke it for 6 hours with an ozone generator. Next I sprinkle it with baking soda, smoke it with a beekeeper smoker, wrap it in a Scent Lok shirt and drag it out into the woods. I have my dog search for it and if she finds it, it's not ready and I start over, and I also feel unethical for using my dog to hunt.

:) I think I covered all methods and hot topics of the week! Have fun guys.

But are you unethically hunting with a single pin sight, you monster?!

;)

Nope, I take it all the way and use a self ranging laser based lighted scope and can shoot after hours too. If an xbow goes off and no one hears it, did it still shoot? Now if it would just re-cock automatically and load the next bolt, I'm all good!

Sorry OP! Just having some fun today. Your question was a good one and I definitely wash mine just like like my other hunting clothes and hang dry.

Paint the stock black on that semi-auto and you'll have a bona-fide Assault XBow... you'll need your class 1, 3, and 7 FFL and pay SOT taxes on that baby.

That was completely in jest, don't take it seriously. We like to have some fun around here on occasion, or most occasions I should say! There was some fun, lengthy banter on a few topics this week and I couldn't resist poking the fire a bit about them, this thread just fit the bill for it.

Following.

I haven't needed to yet, but was considering hand washing my kestrel with a mild scent free detergent as necessary. May email Aerohunter first though and see what they say.

Oh why isn't there an option to like a post multiple times!?!?

I wish my old......never used out of the original bag TL Ambush didn't have such a funky odor. Washed it 5 times and even tried ozone. Still smells and I gave up. Watch the wind and hunt like a beast.........LOL.

Love it brother...youDaman

Most of the time I leave it outside in the rain for a couple days. I live in the country so I don’t really have to worry about problems with stinky city air causing issues
