No clue what I will like as far as a saddle goes and if more $$$ is better? Tethrd seems like a popular choice but videos on the, diy saddles are also grabbing attention - any tried and true thoughts on it out there? Thanks

Tether saddles are produced in China

Aero makes good USA gear but not as comfortable as some others

The cruzr I sat in felt like a kite in my opinion

Tx5 is basically the most comfortable I’ve used
USA made
And your closest thing to “diy” with all the options you choose and none of the time trying to figure out how to safely build it

I’d highly recommend you check out the options available. I’ll be doing a video review soon

Have done the sit drag, the phantom and recently got a JX3 and a Merlin.

JX3 is self explanatory comfort.

Merlin hands down way more comfortable than the phantom.

I tried a guy at camp this weekends TX5 and Squatch is right it’s in a class if it’s own. I told him I didn’t want to sit in it or I would have to order one. He also said the same thing about my JX3. Hoping to get on the list for a TX5 for my Christmas present.

Just noticed that “China” tag and Aero showed up. Just scrolling thru several now I found. Thanks for the info - very helpful.

I have no other comparison but got an H2 last year for my first saddle and love it. Are there "better, more comfortable" options? Maybe but I'm not disappointed with my choice.

Tethrd makes the Mantis and Phantom in the USA. The ESS and Menace are China made from my understanding

I have a Tethrd Phantom. Made in USA and I love it. It’s also the only saddle I’ve ever had but I have no complaints. I bought it without knowing much about saddle hunting at the time and have been learning a lot since then (ordered and received in early March). Can’t go wrong with it in my opinion. Down side is it is a little pricey

its really a personal choice. comfort wise i can see why so many are going to a 2 panel saddle like the Recon, Method, ESS. It seems that everyone carries a backband to make it comfortable, and having it build into your saddle would be a huge advantage.

It is also going to depend on your body size, weight, shape, do you have an ass or not, do you sit or lean, etc etc. Unfortunately there is no clear "best ever saddle"

I can't recall anyone here buying a Cruzr XC and regretting it (except several of us switched the belt buckle out for a Cobra or Raptor buckle). I've yet to make the thing uncomfortable.

The TX5 is intriguing though.

Reach out and try some.

I have to admit, the Cruzr XC is the most comfortable one I have been in. I had tried an Aero EVO and the Cruzr is way more comfortable for me. I would like to try a JX3 sometime.

I got the Aero Flex and it is very comfortable for me to sit in although I only do 4 hour sits and it's the only thing I've used other than Sit Drag at ground level.

The cruzr is going to be more comfortable than the aero evo by design
That’s not even a comparison
