Everything is finalized and it’s official! February 21st thru the 23rd. Lake George WMA. Saddle Flaooza will continue. On top of the ever expanding saddle gear that I already have and bring each year, we have custom saddle and gear donations from Eastern Woods Outdoors, CGM, Buzzard Roost, Bullman Outdoors, and Ape Canyon Outiffters. I am waiting to hear back from Latitude, Trophyline, and Overwatch.

As many of you know we give away and/or raffle off the donations from these companies each year after the demo day. On top of those great companies, we have 2 bows from Mathew’s Bow, the new hyperlite platform from trophyline, and some more goodies skull hill archery and maybe even a surprise or two from bass pro shops… Here is the link to register. The cost is the same as last year and you get the official event t-shirt and an amazing BBQ lunch. You can camp out with us all weekend or just come down for the demos on Saturday. Either way it’s going to be a great time.

So for someone out of state that wanted to only shoot pigs they would only need the wildlife management area permit. $26.50. You don't need a hunting licence to shoot pigs
Yes sir. Our out of state friends can hog hunt for a whopping $26.50

Ok this is about all the dudes from Florida that have I know of.

We got word that Hunter (Dan-O’s son) is coming down again. Peter said either he or one his guys from FL Camo will be there again this year. And Mark from Swamp N Stomp is coming again this year. And we are hoping our friends from southern public podcast might come join us

First, thanks to ya'll that facilitate and organize this.

I've not attended one of these and am gonna try to make it. Be cool to meet some of ya'll, and being new to all of this very expensive monkeying around, would be cool to watch people demo things in person rather than youtube.

Couple quick questions.

The $40 ticket covers the event/food but does it cover the camping also or need to book that on your own?

Are the demos/etc going to happen at the Pine Island camp or do ya'll go to the WMA for that?

Approximate timing of the Saturday events?

In years past, we did the demos inside the campground. This year it’ll be just outside the campground parameter so that no one is all over people’s camp sites. I have the entire camp ground booked with a special use exemption so the $40 includes the a campsite for any who choose to camp with us (there are other sites and a nice rv park as well if you choose to book your own rather than stay with the group) it includes a commemorative event t-shirt (you leave your size in the registration page) and it includes a catered BBQ lunch on Saturday as well as the ability to participate in the Saddle Hide and seek. Each year we hide apparel, hats, climbing sticks, and saddles. You go into the special area in the woods, if you find it, you get to keep it…. If you don’t care about food, camping, the shirt, or the hide and seek event, it’s free to come out on Saturday or Sunday to demo gear and hunt hog (hog hunts do require a WMA permit if you don’t already have one). If you have any other questions feel free to reach out

Ah, ok, that's my bad. I saw the "Pine Island Campground" and googled it and it took me to the RV park, which is what had me confused.

Yea that’s the pine island rv resort. The pine island camp ground is in the actual WMA and is “primitive camping only but we’ve had guys park an RV out in the field in years past. Weldabeast myself and a few others bring firewood and we all usually spend Friday and Saturday nights sharing stories with a beverage or two… This is our 4th year and when the weather is good, we’ve had big big turnouts last year it was pretty rainy for like half the weekend so we only had like 50 some odd people come out and only about 25 of us camped. All the info is on the registration link I left at the top of the page

I'm tracking now. Definitely going to try to make it, gonna try to drag a buddy with me. He's cheap and resistant to change but I see his interest evolving as I develop more mobile strategies.
