Ok guys and gals, gals and guys gather around and feast your eyes on the link to sign up for what has become one of my most anticipated events of the year. Our annual Florida Saddle Hunter Meet up. For all you out of state guys, you can come join us as well as long as you don’t mind some true “Florida Man” foolery within your presence.

This year we’ve already gotten affirmation of sponsorship from Eastern Woods Outdoors, Bullman Outdoors, Buzzard Roost Saddles, Fl Camo, Custom Gear Modifications (CGM, On-X hunt app offered up 5 single state memberships and one of their 50 state premium memberships…

We are awaiting responses from Ape Canyon Outfitters, Trophyline, Latitude Outdoors, Osprey Outdoors, Pursuit Platforms, Matthews Archery Inc, Beast Gear, and Legend Saddle Gear.
I reached out to Panther Platform and haven’t received a response yet. Also worth mentioning, LoneWolf Customs Gear said they weren’t interested in sending any gear for the event. And Bear Archery said they only sponsor events by “non profit organizations”. Any other companies or gear anyone would like to try out give them a shout out and I will do my best to get them involved.

Other than that, this year will feature the return of the insanely popular Saddle Hide and Seek. Cool Beans BBQ will be pulling up an catering the event again. Climbing demos, camping with some of your favorite SaddleHunter.Com personalities and of course our Hog Hunt.
If you purchase a ticket before Feb 9th, you are guaranteed a commemorative event T-shirt. Tickets also include th saddle hide N seek, as well as the BBQ and drinks. If you choose to just come hang out it’s free to come. You can buy food separately from the BBQ truck but you won’t be able to participate in the archery tourney, the hide n seek event or win anything from the hog hunt.

If you plan to camp with us, I have the camp site from Wednesday evening Feb 17 thru Monday morning Feb 23. I will be holding polls for the shirt design for this year. As always I’m looking forward to seeing everyone Especially my good buddies @Weldabeast , @Sunshine , @GeoFish , Hunter and several others.

You guys are the true backbone of the saddle hunting industry and none of this would be a thing without yall.

Yes that way it doesn’t try to charge anyone for shipping.
It’s easier to sell tickets thru the web page but then we have to get creative for by passing shipping charges. I’ll add a clarifying statement to the event page. Thanks for mentioning that Geofish

Everything is finalized and it’s official! February 21st thru the 23rd. Lake George WMA. Saddle Flaooza will continue. On top of the ever expanding saddle gear that I already have and bring each year, we have custom saddle and gear donations from Eastern Woods Outdoors, CGM, Buzzard Roost...

We are hosting it in Lake George (Seville Fl). It’s sort of a central location with enough camp space and big woods for everyone to hunt, hang out ect…. It would be awesome if you could make it. Hunter (Dan-O’s son) is coming down to join us again. Geo comes down from Kentucky. We have other guys from Pennsylvania and Michigan come down. @colin.704 comes down from the Carolina’s…. It’s a lot of fun, especially our camp fire stories on Friday and Saturday night

Ok guys a few updates here…
As of close of business today Latitude Outdoors will be sponsoring again for you guys hoping to try a method 3 or a Lonestar, that’s big news!!!

Ape Canyon Outfitters has responded and they are sending a ton of gear including the newly launched Pioneer’s revenge!

I also had someone reach out to me and offer a private land guided hog hunt as something someone can win.
I believe from speaking with @DanO and Hunter, that our good friend Hunter will most likely be joining us again. Now with the Solo Stick officially launched, we should be able to get you guys climbing on it this year!!!

Anyone have any camp fire games ideas or some other things to make Sunday funday as good as Saturday? I am all ears.
 
Well guys, as some of you know the past 5 years, this event has sort of grown. We started our first year with just 30 or so guys who wanted to meet up, look at each other’s saddle gear and maybe show each other a couple tricks. The only donations and gear we had to give away or allow to be tried out was a coyote brown Mesh wood original, an CGM sidewinder, and some gear from Eastern Woods Outdoors. Everything else was gear I had from my personal bends or gear that the guys brought with them. I grilled burgers and hot dogs, and it rained most of the weekend. Only 18 of us camped out, I don’t think anyone tried hunting hogs, but a great time was had by all.

Year 2 we more than doubled attendance. Jerry from CGM joined us and gave away some great gear. My buddy Travis set up his air rifle tent and showed off some sweet guns. Hang Free set up a tent, Jamie sent us a transformer, EWO sent some more goodies. A few archery shops donated… Guys on here came up with ideas such as commemorative t-shirts and catered food (after suggesting we charge a fee for attendance). Weldabeast and I put together a plan to add some fun ideas such as a Boss Hog Hunting Trophy. The weather was nice all Saturday although we did get some rain on Sunday. Worth mentioning, both of these were held over president’s day weekend which seems to always rain and also often occurs simultaneously with the TWF expo in South Tennessee.
So the following year we changed the weekend to be one weekend later. We came up with a cool t-shirt design, posted polls looking for a fun event name, got a really good BBQ food truck to come on board and added the infamous Saddle Hide N Seek event. This same year was amazing as we made friends with and recieved donations Bullman Outdoors, Buzzard Roost, Trophyline, Skull Hill Archery, and Matthew from TX5…. Our attendance was quite large, room was sparse and the state started making me apply for a Special Use Exemption for the event because of their rules on number of campers usually allowed.
CGM, Overwatch, and EWO donated again along with the above names and Saddle Flaooza sort of became bigger than I ever intended for it to be or imagined it would become. We had Hunter from EWO, MadHunt’s Adventure, Budget Sportsman, and Swamp N Stomp (all large and well known You Tube Hunting influencers) in attendance. The camp fire stories were epic that weekend!

Last year Legend Saddle Gear jumped on board, as did Ape Canyon Outfitters and Latitude Outdoors. We had Onyx, Hyperlite, And the Profile platforms there. New ROS steps from Bullman. 2!!!!CGM cobras’s and Jerry hooked them up with matching accessories in a custom FL hammock pattern!!! The land baron, the new ACO version of the Wood Deluxe, the new TL Nimbus, the tomahawk, the new Bzzard Roost reloaded, the maverick AND the lonestar. On top of all that we had ropes and climbing kits galore from ACO, and Hang Free…. 2 bows from Matthews!!!
And guys had plenty of their own saddles and platforms to show off plus my huge personal collection of platforms sticks and saddles. Needless to say it was by and far the most successful event we’ve had and I believe I can honestly say it the largest Saddle Hunter Meet up in the country. At this point, we’ve had more people in attendance than any meet up I’ve seen on here or on facebook, or even the old Saddle Palooza events. It’s due in part to growing popularity (saddles are now mainstream) BUT it’s really truly due to you guys. Some of you come from afar. We regularly have attendees from Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania either drive down or fly in to join us crazy Floridians as we basically shoot the crap, catch up with old hunting buddies, show off a little gear, complain about the heat, mosquitoes and deer we missed, then eat some good BBQ and watch a bunch of grown ups trip over one another as they rush into the woods to try and find hidden treasures :tearsofjoy:. I can’t even put into words the gratitude that I have for the amount of love and support you guys have given my company, myself, and now this event. When we started, Weldabeast and I simply wanted to keep the tradition of palooza alive. Guys meeting up, making hunting buddies, drinks around a camp fire, and a hog hunt or two. It’s all about the comradery. And as big as this thing has gotten, somehow we’ve managed for the most part to keep to our friend groups, stay in touch throughout the year and some of us even hunt together. So it’s bigger, but it still feels like a few buddies meeting up. I have guys reach out through out the year to ask when we are doing it again. A couple guys even joke about planning their work vacation around this meet up. I said all of that to say this… because of the success of the past couple years AND because of the love and support YOU guys show all the companies involved, we are about to have a Saddle Meet up with more gear and prizes than ever before. Ft Stewart was fun. Chillaxing with denots, talking crap on catmans Dodge, dano the manos banishment, heck..even the tethrd crew were fun to hang with. Once the cool kids started camping at different locations and the nail in the coffin of COVID I wanted to keep the tradition going. Stalker does all the work to make it an event. I just help clean up and talk smack around the fire.

I'll bring the same trophy as last year....maybe somebody might actually kill a hog this year hahahaha

@Islandshooter invited Ernie from Tethrd to come this year. I doubt he will show up but Ernie was the chill hippie type and interestingly enough he marked “interested” on the facebook event page….
