Hello all, new to the saddle game. I have some lower back issues that but me sometimes and think a saddle would be great for longer sits. I'm debating between cruzr xc, the new wild edge berserker, and the two panel method latitude. Anyone have any tips or advice?

Come to the light, the JX3 tree saddle light..............
Don't be afraid, you will sit from dark to dark very comfortably, be able to snooze when you want, no dreaded hip pinch, no back aches, you can shoot 360° around the tree.
No platform required, only a ROS, no sore feet, no knee pads required, no sore knees, built in pack frame for carrying all your needs. Buy once, cry once.

I started saddle hunting because of my bad back, I can’t sit in a normal tree stand more than a few minutes, I went with the Cruzr xc and the only problem I have now is staying awake, I can now hunt in total comfort again from an elevated position, I have no experience with the other saddles you mentioned. My buddy has a bad back also and tried my cruzr xc and is ordering one, you won’t be disappointed for me it was exactly what I needed.

I also have back issues, 2 bulging, 2 herniated and causes nerve pain. I have a cruzer XC and I enjoy it. The saddle is very comfortable and I prefer to lean in it. My back only bothers me if I try and place my sticks too far apart. Other than that it’s my go to now. A traditional lock on has me going numb and hard to stand up after sitting. Just my opinion anyway.

I can’t sit in a stand for more than 30 minutes before pain sets in. I did 6 + hours in a Phantom with no issues. I probably would have been even more comfortable with the back band. The saddle changed my ability to sit and hunt long days and days at a time. I’ll be trying a TX5 and hopefully a Overwatch this year to see if there is an improvement on comfort.

This man knows what he’s talking about. Buy the JX3 the first time and you will never regret it

I took a pretty nasty fall while stationed in Germany fractured my hip and now have 2 buldging disk in my lower back. I say all that to say I went with the Cruzr XC and have zero issues. As others have said I can't sit in a ladder stand but for a very short time. I can sit in the XC for hours and never have pain.

I have multiple back issues including bulged disc at L5-L6 (yep, one of the lucky few).

The 2 panel Method is fantastic. When leaning or sitting, the upper panel supports my low back and is worn almost where a back belt would be. The lower panel either gets moved up when leaning or acts like a bosons chair when sitting.

If you haven’t watched video or sat in one you don’t know comfort. It’s a hammock with No straps to mess with and supports entire body. I’m 76 with war injuries and back issues too. Check it out on Utube.

If you want to buy once, here's another vote for the JX3. My second vote would be for the full hammock Dryad Drey, if you want a more "traditional" saddle. The nice thing about the Drey is if you want to use it as just a "seat," you can bunch up the hammock & just have it under your thighs & backside, or you can fully deploy it to support you from the back of your knees to the top of your back.

I hang in an Aerohunter Flex and no pain. If I sit in a stand for over an hour I begin to have problems, have to move or stand a bit. Same for a blind chair. I prefer to remain as motionless as possible so the saddle is great for my back and hunting preference.

6’6” and 340# with degenerative disc disease affect L3 L4 and L5 on both right and left sides. Just got a Cruzr XC and it’s amazing. I am hybrid with an XOP ColdWorld.

Fractured my L5 almost 20 years ago (weird to say as I’m 38 y/o) and just switched from the Phantom to the Cruzr XC (size 2). It is, by far, the most comfortable saddle. I’m 6’3, 215 and fits perfectly. Trust the hype behind it - also, I think they have a 30 day money back refund policy.
