Saddle hunting with a muzzleloader

I always pour premeasured bh209 down barrel start bullet set but stock on top of top stick, push bullet all the way down, put ram rod up, break gun action insert primer and good to go. You can put a lot of pressure on the top step of your stick. I’m doing this about 12” above the stick on a ROS. It’s pretty easy with practice

Like other have said, pack a couple speed reloads and take your time. Personally I don’t like hunting from a saddle with my muzzleloader. I enjoy ground hunting with real black powder and flint, like our forefathers intended.

Last year I reloaded in the tree I just used my platform as a base to put my butt stock on it wasn't bad

Another pro tip take your hat off and use it on top of your ram rod to save your hand it leaves cool divots that you can show off. "Look how many times I've reloaded my muzzle loader on from the stand
