Just wanted to reach out and see if any of you all live around the Jacksonville/St. Augustine, FL area and would be willing to meet up so I could try a saddle?

I really would love to get myself a set up but don’t want to drop $400+ (once i get some steps/sticks) for something I feel really uncomfortable with.

I am actually very much a novice hunter; but there are a couple pieces of state forest and few WMAs around me that I wanted to try this season. Matanzas, Guana( I know its a quota),some stuff out west of Palatka I have read up on, Camp Blanding.

@shwacker I know horrid timing, just been really busy with the ole 9-5 this year. I am a accountant type been taking exams.

Any time you have a free afternoon I don’t mind a bit of a drive and there might be a free lunch involved too!

Matanzas has a quota free hunt in October, small game season in guana no quota required, camp blanding has quota free archery hunts.....plenty of hunting opportunity..
 
I'm in Savannah. I could do something the second week of October. That's the earliest I could make it work.

The weekend of October 12-13 would work for me. Maybe early-mid morning saddle demo and peckers for lunch?
Anybody close who would be interested post up if you would attend... I'm pretty flexible but oct 19-21 i have a muzzleloader quota hunt
