Saddle with trad bow

Nothing is as comfy as a climber w/padded seat, armrests, drink holder and WiFi, but nothing is as simple to wear in as your saddle. Both can be shot from with practice. I shoot a 64" Widow from mine.
 
I hunt exclusively with trad bows since 2010, I've switched from TS to saddle 5 seasons ago, I find alignment easier to reach on a saddle especially on high angles (when the animal is very close)
The key is to anticipate the direction of the animal to get properly oriented (shooting over the bridge sucks)

"Take it with you." That's a statement from a guy when I asked him the same question about taking shots, while kneeling or shooting under branches or....in your case shooting from a saddle.

Whatever your form is when you are shooting at a standing position, take that form with you when you're kneeling or shooting from any platform/saddle. In other words, bend at the waist, so that your form remains the same. Take a small game blunt with you and take a shot at a leaf from your saddle and you'll see the difference when you "take it with you". :)

The only issues I've ever had shooting longbows from a saddle was the string hitting my left side dump pouch. But I ditched the pouches and now it's no issue. You just have to practice a lot with it and learn to trust your ropes and saddle and lean.

I knew this question had been asked recently so I thought I’d go find the thread for you. When I did I realized it was your thread. In that thread @boyne bowhunter linked several other threads where the same question was asked and many of them were also you started by you. Is there a specific answer you’re looking for?
