Would it be possible to expand the search capabilities of the saddlehunter.com forum? I try searching for commonly used acronyms such as "2TC" and it gets purged automatically. I find the search capabilities on this site to be somewhat limited. I understand the number of results returned from the query may play a role, but I don't seem to have the issue on other sites. Am I better off going through google to circumvent this issue?

Go to google and type your search followed by site:saddlehunter.com

It's way more functional than the forum's software search. A couple other forums I frequent use the same hosting platform and they all suck so I don't think there's much Mr. Squirrel can do. The only time I use it is if I want to limit a search to classifieds to get a market value on something.

I went down that rabbit hole Monday, 2TC is fresh in my google results so I know google works haha.

Definitely going to give it a strong look for next year. I tried it a few years ago before it was #trending but going to do my diligence again. Ditching climbing sticks would be a dream. I don't really like the fiddlyness of one-sticking though, so I'm not sure if it's going to work for me, or not. I would definitely add rappeling though, that's something I've actually never done from a tree. I guess it's a pretty significant upside of either one sticking or tether climbing.
 
I already rappel so I'm set up in that regard. 2TC checks a bunch of boxes, so I'm gonna make a concerted effort to make it work. It's light, I can pick any tree diameter, I hunt trees with no limbs, I can get to any height, I'm comfortable with rappelling, and I have the equipment. Yesterday, I also ordered a transformer to make hanging more comfortable. If I can make it work, I'll have the ability to slip through the woods like a ghost and pick any tree. Pretty fired up about it.
 
Ha! Unfortunately, it's shifting from blond to grey. I appreciate the input you provide on this board. It's a big factor in my decision making.
