Anybody bringing a kayak? Was thinking about bringing mine and using it to get around. Got a dead cylinder in the skiff so that's off the table

Biggest problem with the kayak (or a canoe) is that it will be tough to take out on the river if it is high and fast. I am still debating about my canoe... Anyone going to be bringing waders? I would hate to have to lug those around...

@eoctanker I'm packing waders. Kayak will be loaded just Incase, rather have the option than not.

A kayak float trip would be cool. Wouldn't be hard to park a vehicle at a boat ramp down river and spend the day floating down to it

Yea, I guess I will pack mine too. Better to have packed things I won't need than to need things I didn't pack. As long as I have room for all those coolers of pork, life will be good.

Yeah it's tough. I'm flying which makes it even harder. I may have to ship some stuff

Definitely bring waders. Some of those swamps get nasty. If you have Yoder chaps, that's even better since you can roll them down if needed

I was thinking the same thing. I got a mud boat with a GatorTail GTR would probably work well to get into the back woods. Still debating between bringing the boat or my Teardrop camper.
I call shotgun in the mud boat

What is the risk for snakes this time of year? Anyone doing snake-proof gaters? recommendations? We didn't have a big problem with them on the other side of the state (fort Benning).

Was thinking about bringing my gigs and bow fishing equipment, anybody familiar with the area in reference to frog gigging or bow fishing. Great for passing the night time hours and very tasty.
