Saddlepalooza 2021

No hogs for me but I really don't take the hunting to seriously...

I did find the elusive southern georgia hooved king swamp lion tracks.... Scared me outta the woods

From what I understand climberhunter.com had a get together the weekend before and killed all the hogs

I wish I could have stayed longer. Hopefully next year. It was nice to meet y’all.

Ohio boys are headed home now. Robbie (my brother) shot one last night while still hunting in the pine woods. It ran into the thick stuff and was cold last night so we decided to wait till morning to look. Found blood right away then found it quick. Only went about 30-40 yards. 95 pound female. We had a blast again. Good meeting everyone both old and new faces. Thanks to @Gudnyte for getting it together.

Great kill and I had a great time see yall next year

There were 9 of us that camped and hunted at SaddlePalooza 2021. I am terrible at names, but I believe the attendees (and their saddlehunter.com aliases) were: Tracy (Gudnyte), Ryan (Weldabeast), Colin (colin.704), Victor, Robie, Will (Buckeye Bowhunter), Cody, Gordon (Scupstatehunter), and me [Cary (cpeaden)]. Greg (g2outdoors) also visited us on Saturday. If I got any of those first names or aliasis wrong, please let us know.

I enjoyed meeting everyone, and I had a good time. We really appreciated Tracy organizing us, and I really appreciated Ryan and Greg giving me advice to get over some specific new saddle hunter gear problems that I was having. Robie is the only one of us that shot and recovered a hog.

Next season I hope to hunt a lot across Florida and some in Georgia (especially around Fort Gordon and Augusta GA). Feel free to contact me via email at cary.j.peaden@gmail.com if you are interested in hunting with me, or if you want to know something about the WMAs in my East Central Florida area. (I can give you my phone number in an email.)

Some of you asked about the tent cot I was sleeping in during Saddlepalooza 2021. Here is a link to their site: https://kamprite.com/product-category/tents/tent-cots/
I got the Kamp-Rite® Oversize Tent Cot model and the rainfly and I do like it. There are other regular size and cheaper models and I am sure they are good. You can order them from several sites including amazon.com. I like the tent cots when I am camping alone during hunting trips because they a quick to setup and break down and they keep me off the ground which on my hunting trips is often wet.
