SaddlePalooza - Feb 16-19, 2018 - Official Thread

Had a great time. @g2outdoors was an awesome host as usual. Thanks Greg. It was great to meet everyone and have some time to get to know everyone around the campfire. I think we solved most of the worlds problems with exception to EHD. Of course we didn’t do anything to solve world hunger either. I know I promised @huck72412 would leave with a fat lip but a close friend of his had some medical problems so it just didn’t feel right. How is Jack doing?

:tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy: Thanks for having mercy on me @EricS . When I met you it was perfectly obvious that even with a fist full of cranford t-steps I didn't have a chance. Caleb is a great kid btw. I posted in the pigville forum about Jack. He's gonna be alright.

It was great to meet you too Eric. You all have some great kids. It was a ton of fun playing cornhole with them, they had such a blast!

But we will next year with what we learned this year!,,,,, ghost makers are coming lol.....

I will hunt next year. I am glad I just hung around camp this year. I really enjoyed learning so many of the different Walsall you Saddle Hunters use the equipment. There was so much to learn. Seeing rope getting buried and locked and looped we such a treat.

Trying on different saddles was very eye opening.

Overall, an amazing event. I got just what I was looking for.

Do we have a date for 2019 yet? :D

Thanks again for a Fabulous event. Me being sick from the minute I arrived did not help. I was totally not myself.

Since being home I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Colon Cancer. I have had 18" of my Large Intestine removed and am now on 6 weeks of No Work recovery. For a guy who has worked the past 30 yrs with ONLY 1 week vacations for family and hunting, these next six weeks are going to be interesting.

See you guys (and gals) at SaddlePaloosa 2019!

Glad they caught it and you got that taken care of. Take this time to rest up! Look at it as some extra time to spend on saddlehunter!
