My favorite project vintage sewing machine is the singer 237. I am thinking about rounding the area on the shuttle hook where the bobbin thread passes through. This would be an effort to get the 237 to be able to use 138 thread.

The LSZ-1 looks similar with zig zag and side loaded vertical oscillating hook. The documents for it state v92 largest size.

Has anyone successfully used v138 in the LSZ-1, and if so, could you share a pic of your shuttle with the hook visible?
