Scammed On Our Classifieds

Y’all, I am a bit overwhelmed by the generosity. It is an amazing community and has been since I joined. I guess that is why I was surprised.

But let’s see how it plays out. Still seems fishy to me. I know life can get in the way but you have to communicate if possible. If you take a couple of hundred dollars from someone, tell them one thing will happen and it doesn’t and then you don’t inform them or respond to them.

I am probably a little jumpy too. My wife had her debit card skimmed at a gas station in July. It all just feels really wrong. And started to after it happened. That voice is right a lot of times.

This.....it's unbelievable that your able to do this. I belong to several forums and none of them let you interact with the classifieds until x amount of days or posts. Still not a guarantee but at least there's some exposure.
Is the doosh-bag still a member on here?

I vote for maybe both, but definitely join time otherwise you get a bunch of one word responses on threads that don't really contribute anything. At least that's what I did to be able to sell stuff of AT and Rokslide and some of the others.

Let’s all wait & see how this shakes out. Looks like we have enough support to get @DwadeCham taken care of. Maybe it’s something that @redsquirrel can look into in the future but upto now it’s been self policed & unnecessary. Growing pains, not to mention the fact that stuff goes so quick on here to have to jump whenever you get the chance.........

I am for the most part a newbie here to the saddlehunter forum. Is there anyway that we can rate or review other members on this forum like you can on archerytalk?

There is no seller rating system here. However it only takes a few seconds to look at someone’s profile and see how active they are. You could also use the search function and pull up search for a users posts in the classifieds section. Then contact some guys that have purchased from them in the past via pm. I’ve never got references on anyone but I feel if it’s someone who has been active in the community for a good while they don’t want their name smeared and will do the right thing. I have purchased items from new members as well because some of them had something I really wanted but I did it knowing there was an off chance that I may lose my money.

Why’s it unbelievable? Why don’t you take some responsibility and not buy from someone who’s only post is the ad in the classifieds? Why is that the responsibility of the owner of the free site you save money on by taking advantage of their time and effort and money?

It’s pretty simple. Don’t pay someone you’ve never met over the Internet, money you can’t afford to lose, unless you do your due diligence. Or accept the risks involved. That’s not the job of a free forum owner.
