Just put some pioneer steps on my scout strap. Anyone have any time in the stand with this set up that could speak it it’s efficacy?
Got it up in the backyard today on break and it seemed solid. Very little wiggle room on the steps,
side pressure on the scout was rock solid.

I can't speak to the Scout platform, but I ran 7 Pioneer steps on an OCB buckle all last season and really liked it. Set up was easy and very stable when you cam it down tight. Looks like a good setup. I like the looks of that scout platform.

Yup, hunted that way quite a bit. Make sure you have a good cam so that your strap is good and tight - putting your weight on the steps can start to wiggle the strap down the tree and work things loose.

If you change to the Torniquet strap method, you'll get rid of all such problems!

I saw that recently somewhere here. I’ll have to check it out.

also don’t have this on an OCB. It is with the stock strap, not sure what actual name is.

Yep, there's a whole thread on it with video links and pictures. Just sharing the good news!

Love the setup! I use a Hawk full size platform, and put steps at about the 8, 11 & 3oclock positions. I’ve settled on an OCB and after camming it twice, it’ll be rock solid including putting lots of side pressure on the platform……doesn’t budge!

I wonder if using pre set scout instead of scout solo would be more beneficial
