Curious to see what folks are mainly using. I started out a screw lock guy, then went to a wiregate (bad nutterbuster) then to a grivel double wiregate (good nutterbuster) and then finally to a petzl autolocker as my main carabiner. I use one on my linemans and two on my bridge since I keep it permanently attached to my tether and hook up by connecting the bridge to my bridge loops instead of connecting the tether to my bridge.
For me, the half second I save not screwing a carabiner matters. Mental stability I guess. I still squeeze check all of them to verify the locker did its thing. I know they "can" freeze, but down here I think that's a very remote possibility.
So, what y'all be usin'?
