Sewing Machine Deals for the DIY Guys

Singer 111W155
$250
Wrightstown, NJ

That's the machine I run. It has easily sewed anything I put in it from heavy materials to finicky layers of thin materials. I bought it on a whim and really like it.

They're both for sewing medium to lightweight garments, so they have limited room under the presser foot for thick layers. What would you like to sew?

I would like to try making a saddle this winter. So no rush

Thoughts on this $25 one? Says needs a new cord.

15-91. That is the best domestic machine I have used. The cord and foot pedal are easy to find. If the serial number is AJ0751... it looks like it was one of 50000 mdel 15s made in 1949. Serial number starting with J doesn't make sense.

Great price

In the process of trying to buy this one right now. Thanks for the heads up.

So worth the $25 even if it isn’t running correctly? No way to test without buying the cord.
If you are familiar with electricity here is the way it is supposed to be wired. You could test the motor.
