That's a lot of plastic. Personally, and never having used that model machine, I would steer clear.

All metal construction, similar to the other all metal Singers, it should be pretty reliable.

15-91. That is the best domestic machine I have used. The cord and foot pedal are easy to find. If the serial number is AJ0751... it looks like it was one of 50000 mdel 15s made in 1949. Serial number starting with J doesn't make sense.

If you are familiar with electricity here is the way it is supposed to be wired. You could test the motor.
