SH1KAR Monarch

Got my shikar fixed with a monarch. I ordered just before the sh1kar came out but stuck with my order. Actually I have 2 fixed 17” sticks with monarch on one. Think I’m doing a shafer cleat on one. And I like my method of 2 sticking and then make one more one stick move.
I like the monarch but wish it was away from the tree 4 or 5 more inches. But I do like it for up to maybe 4 hour or so hunt. I do think I’ll get a bigger platform for longer sits but I’m waiting on the flood of new stuff this year.
 
Dan O is making something to be competitive with Matt. Can’t wait to see my new mini on Friday.

This will be my 1st season saddle hunting. I spent several months researching saddles before pulling the trigger. Your video reviews helped me beyond words can say. Currently I just got a TH Recon and my safeguard. I plan to use a separate platform for many reasons but looked @ the shikar as a single stick climbing options w/ just double steps.. Already have LW and Muddy 3pc sets.. I like the Shikar double step width and the add on aider width best. Tomorrow I plan to order my rope and final items from Dan-O and see if Shikar will predill the hole for my new existing cam cleat. I'll tap it.
You along with so many have others made it so much easier to figure the right way to go in my personal setup.
 
Good video, definately helps in making an educated decision on a 1 stick. The new products hitting the 1 stick market does make it a little tougher when to jump in.
