Last years snack sticks was with a store bought seasoning and were way to salty.

If you use a prepackaged season what do you use or if you make your own, what's your recipe?
 
I make jerky with 100% ground deer meat (but can use added fat or beef it you like)

6# approximately
1-1/4 to 1-1/3 cup of McCormicks' Taco seasoning
Add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder +/-
Mix well
Place in large zip-loc in fridge overnight
After 12-ish+ hours pull out and let it get to almost room temp
Add a splash of water and re-mix (IF using a jerky gun)
Lay out your strips on your trays and place in dehydrator
Dry to your liking
Enjoy

I'm betting it will work great as snack sticks too...guys at work hound me for "when you bringing in more" :laughing::laughing::laughing:
