Sharpening broadheads

these actually work awesome. or get a kme jig and a 2 sided course/fine diamond whetstone.

There are some major problems with free handing small blades like that. One of the biggest is keeping the same angle while sharpening them. I can sharpen a knife with the best of them free handed. I struggle with smaller blades, especially broadheads. Not all, but as a whole, most of them. I have been using a RADA sharpener for about 5-6 years for everything hunting related. I can get my broadheads back to shaving sharp in less than a minute almost everytime. I have sharpened Simmons bleeders, slick tricks, swhackers, rage, etc. They can all be sharpened with a RADA very easily once you know proper technique.

Although it is basically 2 wheels with a handle, it does take a little learning on how to do it. I made a video for some guys a few years back and put it on youtube. Several people have messaged me over the years talking about how well it has worked out for them. The best part? You can get 2 of them shipped tyd for less than $15.

Can't watch the video at work, but I've used the RADA sharpener this year, and I've put the same head through 2 deer (and into the dirt once). Works great and it's fast, cheap, and easy.

Not sure how much you want to spend but I use KME broadhead shapener on my Slick Tricks. The gauge holds the perfect angle. I have been able to resharpen blades that were shot into the ground. Comes with multiple stones as well. Added a leather strop to the process to get them shaving sharp.
"Sharp" certainly is subjective.
I've gotten my head to what I considered sharp with several methods. They were pretty good...good enough to kill deer but then I started learning about the clotting rate of a cut/wound made by highly polished edges.
I bit the bullet and bought a KME...wow what a difference! Thes things are HOLY CRAP sharp. Almost scary.
Moderately sharp heads will do the job on perfect hits.
Super sharp heads could make the difference in a wound continuing to bleed or the wound clotting on those mediocre hits.
Like a shaving cut...razor nicks from a sharp blade bleed like crazy.
