So I purchased a few small things off classifieds. USPS delivered the package to wrong address. So far they haven't been able to get it back. Thanks government. The good news is the guy I purchased it from has been great to work with and we are working thru it. Looks like a first for both of us having any issues.
I liked his idea that he took a picture of it before he sent it. So seems to have helped.
Any one else had problems recently? Tips to help?
Also remember to be patient with guys and trying to work thru it is the best solution.

Fed ex on my end has been terrible lately. Literally the last 4 things they’ve shipped have been at least a week late. I always get insurance now what with lost packages and porch pirates

I had several hundred dollars worth of window decals misdelivered by the USPS. What’s worse is they marked it as delivered even though it didn’t come to me. It took a few weeks but I got it confirmed that they misdelivered my package from them. They sent me a link for an insurance claim because they made zero attempt to get my package back. I filed the claim and they denied paying me for my package that they lost because it was marked in their system as delivered. Then to make matters worse when they finally paid out (months later) they only gave me back $50. I despise using USPS and the only reason we started offering it on our site was because people didn’t like paying UPS rates. But when something goes wrong UPS makes every effort to fix it, where as USPS makes every effort to screw you over.

Fed ex often uses USPS to get it across the country and then use their local drivers for delivery lol the post office is probably responsible for your fed ex delays

Whenever I sell something, I take the product to my local USPS store front at my local hardware store. I get tracking and insurance. Before the person puts it away, I take a pic of the package, the receipt and the shipping number on my phone. Then I sent the pic to the buyer.

So far, nothing has been lost. I’d hate to have to jump through hoops if something got lost.

I sold climbing sticks on here once. I was in a rush so I paid UPS store to package it and ship it out.....
the guy got a kuerig and pods! No sticks. It took weeks but I ended up with the sticks back

I bought a Lone Wolf climbing stick off Amazon last year for a too good to be true price like $30.00 and it got shipped (I guess) to the wrong address by Amazon via UPS. I contacted UPS and they claimed they delivered it to some location but would not tell me where. After dealing with them for a short time I said to heck with this and chalked it up to bad luck. Who knows, it may have been some sort of scam.

You couldn't do anything thru Amazon?

I had a new fed x delivery guy who dropped off on two occasions my packages 1,500 feet from my house on the side of a gravel road. He put on the delivery ticket, left package on front porch. No way you can complain to fed x. If you call you are talking to someone in another country, no english.

USPS delivered one of my wife’s packages to the wrong address in my town, showed delivered and nothing here, after several trips to the post office they had located where it went but wouldn’t tell her who had it and the people were not cooperating, it took several weeks for her to get it back… opened.. I’ve lived in the same town my entire life and take **** from nobody, I’m assuming it’s standard procedure for the post office to not release who has your stuff by accident, if I had the address to my wife’s package I would have gotten it back in 15 minutes or been on the news, one or the other.

Yeah, I'm assuming that is why they won't tell you where they sent your package by accident, so it doesn't lead to confrontations, lol. I wasn't going to go over and kick down the door or anything like that, but I did want UPS to either pay for the items replacement or contact the person they gave my item too and see if they could get it back. I pretty quickly realized I might as well have been talking with a tree stump and chalked it up to a lost cause. The situation wasn't worth my time and aggravation.
