I live in western md and the sika deer are about 5 hrs away from me on the eastern shore....ive hunted them once late muzzleloader and plan on making a trip or 2 this fall for some bowhunting, I have a few buddies that are from down that way that invite me but I haven' pulled away from my whitetails yet.

I know this is old but great hunt report! Have you been successful on sika since then? @suicyderider
Been toying with doing this hunt for a while.
 
I’m in the military now and currently stationed in IL however, I was born and raised in Dorchester county (Cambridge) and I got spoiled with sika hunting growing up. If anyone needs any info, or contacts gimme a shout and I will reach out to pops as I’m positive he knows at least one person who can answer any questions. I still go back there every year for the first week of rifle, beautiful area, and hands down best seafood around.

@Sgt. Beardface I'm new to saddle hunting as well as sika hunting. I just bought my blackwater permit for this year and I don't even know where to begin. I plan on going down and checking it out during the scouting days but I don't even know which unit to begin with, any recommendations?
 
hats going to depend on access and how you plan to get into it. best of luck. I forget half of what I knew about it when I went but there are plenty of spots to go and they picked up more land so itll be plenty of opportunity im sure

I wanna eat one! my father in law has killed a few, I think Im going to try next year. I just cant work it out this year I don't think
