Man I hate to hear you might have to go through with the surgery. And not to make light of your back situation but what would that do for the hunt? Since you were the one hosting it would you even still be able to go?

Don't worry you are not making light of anything and I should have mentioned something about the hunt when I mentioned my back surgery. I'm hoping to have the surgery the end of August so hopefully, by October I will at least be able to do the admin stuff associated with the hunt. If I can't I have two brothers pretty close that could help me out in a pinch.

looking forward to grilling up some fresh sika straps with yall!! I will be down there the night of the 4th I believe until the 7th.. I will be staying on a buddies property but plan to swing by and see everyone hopefully with a big ol stag in tow.. don't forget to go to the https://www.woolfordstore.com/ when your down they have great lunch and so much hunting and fishing stuff its just a place you have to visit..
 
My buddies Sika is almost done at taxidermist my 2 will be done soon too!.. cant wait to kill another or two

Thanks for sharing, good stuff, I think that should get folks motivated if nothing esle!! Were your buddy and his brother hunting on private or some of the public land like BWR or Fishing Bay?

Also, deadline for signups will be the 21st of September, which should give everyone plenty of time to get their buisness in order so they can hunt!

Man I’m game for helping you out for the event. If nothing else at least take some stress off of you. I’m going either way. So I’ll do whatever, who knows you may be good to go!! Just pm me & I’ll pitch in!
 
I do not think I am going to make it to hunt. I have done work commitments that I have yo do. Darn boss. LOL. I am still trying to make it. I will have to see. What happens in god next few weeks. I luv marsh and swamp hunting. Brings me back to my youth.
 
I think I am going to have to pass on this. Between work and now my having her hernia flair up and needing it repaired

Well, I don't think anyone would blame you for backing out with all of that going on, thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery for your wife!
 
Man I come to this thread with a heavy heart. I was so excited about this hunt and had gotten the work issue worked out. In the last week I have been thrown some pretty big financial curve balls. Although I know I could swing it if I wanted to, I don't think that ist the responsible thing to do right now. Sometimes being a grown-up sucks. Well I'll be following along, hoping y'all all draw blood.

I’m in the exact same boat! I live close enough that I’ll come down to hang out to hang out & meet folks on Sunday, but I can’t take off work w/o putting us in a bad spot.
