Simmons glue on shark

I've killed a couple of elk, 6 or 7 deer and 2 antelope with them. The last 2 years with a single bevel. Blood trails are above average for a 2 blade head and can be unbelievable on some.
I shot a buck last year from a high angle and didn't get an exit hole. No matter as the blood trail of 100 yards or so was painted a foot wide.
I'm very happy with the results.
I shoot a 58# at 28" Centaur longbow, arrow weight of 600-700 grains. Wood and carbon.

4 this yr. they shoot great . 53ish pounds. passthrough most of the time.

I love them and have used them successfully in bows 45-71# with excellent results!! You will not be disappointed if you go with these heads!!!

Appreciate the feedback. Bow I will be hunting with next year is #53 at my draw(29") iirc. I am going to rescale to be sure. Have a test pack of doug fir from Surewood on the way. Want to try to build out in the 550-575 range for TAW but not stuck on that by any means. I have a pile of 125 grn glue on heads but will have to order heavier. Pretty much decided on the Ace Standards and the Simmons at 160 and 165 grains and was really curious what folks experiences were with that honkin big cut Simmons from normal human weight stickbows (45-55#).

Checked the bow and it is 57# at my draw. I already had some 60/65 cedars that were finished other than cutting to length and mounting points. cut a few of them down and set up one each of 125, 145 and 160 tips. The 145 flys consistently the best but the other 2 fly well if my release is clean. The 125 seems to be the most critical of a really clean release. Got a half dozen of the Doug Firs setup so I can play with bare shaft and fletched. Hope fully get to shoot them tomorrow after this rain moves out.

What size and length in the Doug Fir's?

Shafts are 11/32 and come 32" long. The test pack came in 5 pound spine increments(3 spine ranges, 4 shafts each) and they were grouped in 10 grain ranges. I set up 2 60/65 shafts and 2 65/70 and paired with each with a 145 and 160 grain field tip. The 60/65 with the 160 head is the only one that is a little touchy and it's not much. I cut them down to make a 29.5" arrow BOP and they are 565-580 TAW. Very pleased with how the test shafts turned out and how well they shoot.
