Not sure if I've mentioned it before elsewhere. Gotta be careful with baking soda. It will scratch your optics.

I could see that. But hoping you wouldn’t have any of that stuff in your pack while trying to eliminate the odor. Plus hoping you would be cleaning all that off once your done.

My luck, I'd have little flakes shedding where I hadn't rinsed every bit out.

I would recommend trying Atsko Sportwash Zero in a washing machine. Also, set the machine for tap cold water and a soak during the cycle. Maybe use double the recommended amount haha! That and maybe ozone in a sealed tub for a few days on and off...

How long did you run the ozone machine? If it really stinks its going to take multiple treatments of at least 30 min or more. I also would let it get soaked outside in the rain and give it several days to dry off outside. If laundering again give Lethal laundry detergent a try.

Good luck with that if you figure out how to get that stink out, you will be a millionaire. I had girlfriends, back when I played juniors, that asked if I took a shower after the games cuz my hands would still stink gawd awful.

When I play adult league I just accept that my hands will smell awful for the next three months lol

I would wash the heck out of it with Dead Down Wind laundry detergent, let it air dry outside for a day, then I'd build a nice smoky wood campfire & smoke the heck out of it with wood smoke. At least 4-6 hours. I do alot of hunting on the ground, and wood smoke all of my outer layers. I believe that deer are not alarmed by the smell of wood smoke, and my experiences with them proves the theory-at least to me. I've had does, fawns, & younger bucks within 10-15 yds of me and they haven't spooked. The big guys? not so much-that's why they're big guys! Hope this helps!

Rumor has it the owner of Warren and Sweat loved to smoke cigarettes up in his tree stands according to people who knew him

I’d build a fire or use a bee smoker and smoke the hell out of it….that’ll kill the cigar odor. Wood smoke is a totally natural smell to deer. I’m going to go back to smoking up my outer garments next year.

I get that. It's not the deer that I'm worried about. The smell is so bad, I don't wanna smell it.

its probobly not smoke your smelling, just the material it was built with. kind of like rubber boots always smell like rubber.

Fill a bucket and add cup of vinegar....soak, agitate, and hand wash. Dry in the sun. Repeat as necessary.

Yep that’s it, just a ton of sweat, and never washing gear. Imagine wearing your cold weather hunting gear when it’s 50 degrees and then running sprints on and off for an hour and a half. Then take that gear off and throw it in a bag, and then do the same thing next week. Do that for 10 years and never wash your clothes. That stench will just start to seep into your skin after so long. So when you’re playing consistently once a week, it’s just too frequent for the smell to subside. The leather mitt of the gloves just does wonders to hold in that stench forever. If you’re a pro and you actually hang your
Gear out to dry when you get home after a game, you’re still going to smell but at least you won’t be putting on wet gear the following week lol

Not a hockey player but I live in MN.... stinky gear seems to be something of a badge of honor, or the mark of a serious player. Do you really play, if you gear is clean and sweet-smelling?
