Snake Boot Recommendations… Please!

I've been hit several times in Arkansas by cottonmouths. I wear gaiters so I can wear any boot I want. I got the gaiters from Academy Sports for around $50

x2 on the gaiters. Mine has a flap that covers the ankle and top of the boot. Great to have in the pack for when I start getting into some sketchy looking spots.

Woah....
Ive had 2 close 1s....struck a tree 15-20 feet from my window and all my hair was standing on end and the other we were at my grandparents on the porch...struck the metal roof and everybody hair was on end and we experienced natural ozone...weird smell and taste funny in the air....

Yep… been in treestand early season and had lightning strike tree on ridge… left everything in woods… had to come back for treestand after storm passed…

Sorry… called him today to clarify… had on 16 in snake boots and hit above them and below knee… 2 years in row… both times early Alabama bow season and walking through clear cut in briar patches… he said thought snakes laying off ground on the briars… said didn’t sell his bow but did give it away…lol

In my experience I rarely see snakes away from water in our early season(Arkansas) I've seen more snakes in November than I have in October.

We have seen rattlers get up waist to shoulder high in the bushes during the winter, dec. & jan.
