So what will you be carrying for the firearms deer season this year?

My first gun purchase was a Remington 700 in 308 and a British 303 infield rifle both for $125 in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot where I worked as a sixteen year old. It was my own money and I was so proud of it then and it is still my favorite gun 37 years later.
Have a pic of that Enfield? Have my grandpa's gun.

I don't know. A 338 might be marginal. I prefer a 375 H&H for anything larger than does, lol.

For Rifle: Thompson center 30-06 or the Ruger American 450 Bushmaster.
For Muzzle loader: knight, model unknown. Picked it up for $30 5 years ago. Iron sights.

Savage Axis II in .308. For the price that gun has been so solid for me.

I will also tote around my Winchester 1894 in 30-30. Built in 1946 its the only rifle I own that doesn't have a deer to it. Trying to change that this year.

Custom built 12” ARP barrel 6.8 SPCII, shooting 120 grain Cavity Back Bullets

CVA Accura V2 muzzleloader and Ruger American 450 Bushmaster. Got the 450 last season but never got a chance to shoot any deer with it.
Same exact setups for me but sub out the 450 BM with 350 LGD. chaScreenshot_20221109-132624_Gallery.jpgnged the breech plug on the accura with a blackhorn plug

Got the "go wild" setup on the american. Sharp lookin gun. 22" bbl with a muzzlebrake and cerakote job. Threw a 4.5-14x42 burris on top with some Warne rings.

BLR lightweight 308 or 7600 carbine 308 or 450 bushmaster. Haven’t figured it out yet.

I would like a BLR in the worst way. I want it in .358 Win or 7mm-08, All short action either necked up or down .308 case.

I kind of wish that I had gotten the 350 variant. Ammo is more plentiful and cheaper. Not as much recoil either. But that’s what I could find on the shelf at Rural King last year. I also use Blackhorn in my CVA. Much more enjoyable to shoot after the switch.

i figured i'd pass it on to my son for his first rifle eventually. less recoil than a .243. Hes almost 1 so maybe a few more months before i let him shoot it
