So what will you be carrying for the firearms deer season this year?

8" 300 blackout AR15 with my Omega 300 on the end with Barnes Vor-Tx 110 Grain TAC-TX
S&W M&P 2.0 10mm

My kid will be shooting a CVA Scout 300 blackout suppressed during youth season. Super quiet and not much recoil.

We're about a week away and I'm getting anxious...I got a red dot for the 10mm, but need to get it sighted in before the season if I want to use it! My hope is a doe at 25 yards with the 10mm :)

Selling my .257 Weatherby was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made was crazy accurate even with factory loads. Vaporized a number of porcupines

How do you like that Woodman Arms ML?
I have nothing but praise for that gun. I’ve shot 50 rounds without cleaning and it’s still dead accurate. (Though I’m due to clean the breach plug-which is easy). I’ve got a scope on mine and as soon as I have some extra cash will buy another with open sights for bad weather days. I often carry it during shotgun unless I’m hunting close range in super thick stuff, cause it’s just too damn nice to leave at home.

i usually bow hunt in gun season too, but if i decide to tote a gun a time or two it will be open site model 94 I bought in 1973

Reviving this thread since it’s Orange Army deployment starting next week. I’ll be carrying one of my 350 Legends with Bear Creek Ballistic custom ammo. Either the Ruger Ranch or CVA Scout depending on how I feel that day.
Nice. I’ve had some good success with Bear Creeks in my 45 smokeless muzzleloader.

Those bullets are awesome and look just like pics if you’re lucky enough to find one inside your deer. I don’t like the price tag but I love the performance of them.

I agree the bear creeks are pretty awesome. I have them hand loaded to there recipe in my 450 bushmaster. Chronographed 2375 fps out of my ruger 16” barrel. That’s what smoking 240 grain chunk of copper. Shoots about 3/4” group at 100 yards. So I will use my 450 or I have a tc contender 357 max 10” pistol looking for a deer.

A suppressed Daniel Defense DDM4 in 300blk

I’ve waited 14 months for the ATF form 4 approval - I’m putting it to use.

35 whelen. can use it for both primitive and modern and will knock anything in our woods on its a**

I do the same with a CVA Scout 35 Remington/357 Herrett Contender Pistol, rarely mess with carrying different rifles/pistols anymore.

I have a tc contender 357 max 10” pistol looking for a deer.

Nice! I used to hunt with an 18" carbine Contender in 357 Max, worked very well on deer.
