So what will you be carrying for the firearms deer season this year?

Christensen Ridgeline 6.5 creed or Browning Hells Canyon Speed in 6.8 western.

First, my CVA Optima modern smokepole in .50 cal.

In regular firearms, my Ruger M77 .260.

If after multiple seasons, including archery too, and in multiple states, I still have the gumption to try the freezing post-Christmas hardball season, I borrow my dad’s Hawkins flintlock smokepole .50 cal.

I’ve been wanting to shoot a deer with my Remington 141 .35 Remington circa 1953. I also would like to use my Winchester 30-30 that was made in 1966.

I took a few shots from a TC pistol in .35Rem. Highly impressed with it's potential as a close-cover woods rifle, especially with heavy cast boolits. Eventually I'm going to need a Encore with a .35Rem barrel

Hoping a mark V 460 Wby. If not my Accumark .338-378 will suffice
Idk you, but I like you. Haha I need a .460. It’s high on the list of guns. The gun store I go to had a smith and Wesson 460 vxr performance series but the rear sight was bent. Wasn’t gonna pay that for a gun that’s probably had a good whoopin

I’ve loaded some 200 grain hornady loads and have a few cor lokts that are old. I like the leverevelution ammo but my 141 won’t cycle it. I even loaded some 158 grain .357 pistol ammo, it won’t cycle either but makes a nice light load.

CBA MRX 45 cal.
Savage 220
Savage 110 30.06. this gun has killed the majority of my deer over the years. Hunting the Eastern Shore of VA this year, so a lot of Blackpowder and Shotgun this year. They don't like rifles in the counties I hunt. The savage will have to wait for the mountains. That is the joy of VA and private land, you never run out of doe tags!

Actually for the first time in many years, I will be carrying a new rifle while in the WV woods. I'm a PA hunter, so my 7mm remmag bolt action is still getting the call. But in WV semis are legal, so I'll be taking my Springfield M1A national match, topped with a Vortex Dimondback 4-12×40. I bought it this past spring, I've wanted one for 20 years but always found a reason not to buy one. . . . Found a near perfect used one, for well under retail and couldn't turn the other cheek.....

I will take my dad's old marlin 30/30 lever action for few hunt's as I do every year in his honor. This rifle has taken more deer and black bear than I can recall. Will use my T/C Encore in 270 when hunting the clear cuts and soybean fields.

Reviving this thread since it’s Orange Army deployment starting next week. I’ll be carrying one of my 350 Legends with Bear Creek Ballistic custom ammo. Either the Ruger Ranch or CVA Scout depending on how I feel that day.
