I was a 34-36” pants waist size and about 200 lbs last season and this one was not too big and would not want to go smaller at that size. The 45” is the max belt length, and will be better under that.
 
Both of my TX5s ran kinda small.

My 2nd and current one is actually a Medium and I'm only a 31" waist and 155lbs...
