Solo scout vs predator platform

The rut roost is a must for all day sits that’s why I went with the solo scout ultimately yeah it’s more gear but I’m still what a pound more than the predator with the two and honestly it was about making me be AlOT more still yeah you can do a all day sit in a saddle that’s pretty much all iv done but the movement it takes to make all those adjustments throughout the day is what made me go with the ru roost and it’s unreal the comfort you get!!

sitting on that thing does look super comfortable!

I use the scout on a mini shikar with a lone wolf pull strap and two squirrel steps at about my 2 and 10 o’clock. I like the scout but I didn’t sell my ridge runner and I’m glad I didn’t. Sometimes I like the mix of standing with leaning and sitting. But for a few hours on stand I do like the scout.

Cant argue against that! I think the tech is awesome, but in my mind a big reason I went to a saddle is the simplicity. I can sacrifice some creature comforts for the simple nature of a saddle. I think I would get frustrated having that much strapped to a tree. Although when you think about it, it's somewhat similar to an inverted ultra light lockon with out a backbone..

It's a single extra item strapped to the tree for a size-able difference in comfort. If you sat on one you may change your mind about having an extra item in your bag.

I can’t stand the way these things cam from OOAL. The scout is alright tho and with some squirrel steps, they pair well. I have a predator and haven’t even touched it this season.... been using the top of my stick and squirrel steps. Ive considered trying the scout platform for the top of my stick.

I have the solo scout and find it easier to get a good cam with it than with wild edge stepps. Anyone who has used WE stepps should find OOAL cam action to be pretty easy.

I just got a solo scout in the mail today. Zero issues caming it over, but I have some history fighting Jim Stepps. Lol

I like the solo scout more than then stick scout. The stick mounted scout sticks out from the tree a bit further than I like.
