Specs on the NEW SITKA CARGO BOX PACK

Between the cargo box, tool belt and new tool bucket my favorite is the tool bucket.

No it does not.
I need many more details on the tool box from you. Is there an internal frame. The shape of the back panel looks like tenzing tx15 with that slight flare out. That tenzing had a wire type frame and worked pretty well for that size pack.

It does not have a rigid frame but does have substantial structure to it.

My tool belt got damaged by ups approximately 120 miles before it got to my house, so now I’m waiting to see what happens. I just checked tracking and saw a status that said “Damage Found... We will contact the seller”... Gotta love it... I did however receive my cargo box... It’s big and heavy, but it doesn’t carry heavy. Really well thought out. Gonna rock the piss out of it during the winter. Really hoping to the tool belt along with my sticks strapped to my ambush with backpack straps will get me through the majority of early-mid season

Keeping the tool bucket for sure. Up in the air about the other 2. The tool belt seems great for minimalist setup but I am not sure how I would strap sticks to it which makes it kinda useless for me. I don’t do presets. The cargo box seems like a good pack. The treestand attachment system is way better than the old tool bucket. But the weight. I can’t get over it!

Are you able to strap sticks to the new tool bucket?... I’m trying to figure out how the new tool bucket differs from the tool box

yes, there are lashing straps outside the pack and on the bottom.

If it would pack meat, be a grand slam IMO. I’ve been holding out to see the details of this pack, I’ve heard one was coming. But still think I might go mystery ranch pop up route...‍

Chris Derrick mentioned in a podcast recently that he hasn’t attempted to haul meat out with it but that “if you got creative with it” he thinks it could be done. If Sitka made a dedicated whitetail pack (quiet materials and layout) that could haul meat I’d be all over it.

In the spirit of DIY, last season Mike Isbell (Backwoods Mobile Gear), helped me turn the Tool Bucket into a custom stick/platform pack. It worked great, making brush busting so much easier. Then, with a little Kydex and help from Bryan Landry (stick talons), its to the next level (pull sticks as i climb). Just thankful I didn’t have to spend the $$ on this pack, so i could try the tool belt!! Ha Ha.

What is the basket used for?

I bought the cargo box 2-3 weeks ago, and compared to the tool bucket, I love it. It is heavier, but everything about it fits me better, rides better, organizes better, and I have no lack of space. With my tool bucket, I struggled to get a good flow to strap lone wolf stands and sticks on, but with this its easy, and something I love way more than I thought I would are the wings that go over the sticks really lock them down, and I put all of my tree accessories in them, like my tree strap for hanging my gear, extra stick extensions, hooks, etc, The way the stand straps in between is intuitive and easy to to do. Another thing I love is all of the compression straps stow away when not in use. There is a sort of load slinging section, but it doesn't attach to a frame that lifts up for packing meat like the Mystery Ranch Pintler, etc. It detaches for loading stand, and adjusts independently from the main pack straps, but doesn't rise up like others on a frame. I think meat hauling could be done. I've never really thought about packing meat out because in Maine we have to go to a check station, but I don't know if they are changing it due to Covid. Here in MA, we can check online, except for 2 weeks during firearm season, but with Covid they dropped that this year, so I guess packing out is an option if I can register on my phone in MA.
