I bought some climbing rope to make a tether and linemans belt and bridge. It is Teufelaberger Fiber Rope rated at 8000 lbs. I found a diagram on how to splice an eye but failed. So I am left with trying again or just using knots. I dont like that knots lower working load by 65%. So does anyone have a video of splicing Kernmantle?

Is it a class 1 splice? If it's anything like splicing 11mm predator you're going to need a wire fid to get that splice accomplished.

EDIT: Ah I see it now, that's some kind of black magic. I'm not sure if I would attempt that splice or stick with a figure eight on a bight. At least with a figure eight you're looking at 75-80% retention

Outer braid and 7 inner strands. But yes fid or long needle. I can not seem to find an exact video showing it spliced

Look up Marlow’s Vega splice, it is for parallel twisted strands if that is what your rope has. Some kernmantels have a braided core which would need a double braid splice.
