Step 1 for the rest of your days on earth is to recognize that most people are just plain ignorant so take everything you hear with a grain of salt.

Turkey thighs are incredibly good. Turkey legs are good also, but have much more non edible stuff in them than you’re probably used to. You’ve already proven this to yourself so remember who the fools were that told you they sucked and never trust another word they speak until you can verify for yourself that the planets have aligned and they are actually correct in what they are saying.

Next.....Borax is the way to go in the future.

Ahahahaah! Yea people say some crazy things. I try to take it with a grain salt (or borax)? I’m naturally skeptical so I have to prove most things before I believe them. Send some borax my way and I’ll spread it on it haha!

Still trying to get my first one here in NW Georgia. Quickly coming to the realization that I suck at this haha. One would think, since turkeys don’t become nocturnal, that it would be easier than deer hunting.... I beg to differ
 
Snuck up on a turkey that was chilling in a field. Set up on the far side of the road and tried to call him to me. He was getting a little hung up but was slowly making his way to me. Out of no where here comes some old cowboy and his posey of loud mouth horse riders down the road. The dude was literally yelling. The bird took off... He said, “OH LOOK HERE WE GOT A TURKEY HUNTER, I GUESS WE ARE BEING A LITTLE LOUD HUH? ***YADA YADA YADA OLD MAN TALK**** GOOD LUCK WITH THEM TURKEYS.” I understand that the land is for everyone to share but my goodness a little bit of courtesy goes a long way. I’m sure he wouldn’t like if if I was yelling and making a bunch of racket spooking his horses as he walked by.... I guess I’m just complaining because I missed an opportunity.
