Got an email that from April 19th to May 15th Spypoint is reducing the price of these to $39.99 at multiple retailers. Academy Sports has free shipping with $35.

Maybe these were a flop and this is the last breaths of a dying product, maybe there is a better product coming. All I know is I've been real happy with my Link Micro 12mp, which has been in service on a tree since 8/17/2020, taken 2.2gb of photos and still has a 29% charge, so I'll probably give these a try on some of my OG cams. Has anyone bought them and have any thoughts?

I bought 2 this year and a micro. It seems the pictures I get from the micro are just a little more clean than the ones from the cell links. Might just be my imagination though. They work well enough for the price. Negatives are less free pictures per month(you only get 100 vs the 150 for the micro), and twice the amount of batteries. Also you have much more control remotely with the micro as far as time between pics and sensitivity.
If I had it to do over again I would have just bought more micros from Walmart for 89.99.

Thanks for the advice, I didn't even think about the user interface & batteries.

For what its worth, I have the micros and the cell-link. I like them both. While you do use two sets of batteries, in my experience they last twice as long since the transmission and camera are independently powered. That ends up being basically a wash for me. The user interface is certainly something to consider though, and you are more limited on settings with the camera connected to the cell link device. I like them both though and have enjoyed using them. Worth the money to me.

Seems the Spypoint experience has a lot to do on where you are. I've had really good luck, but others don't seem to have the same experience. Ymmv, I guess.
