Spypoint Link Micro Verizon

Didn't think about it in previous post but I had my cam set on the lower quality setting. Just changed it to high quality to see what the difference is between them.......will update after I receive some new pics

Thanks for the description. I am tempted to give it a shot, but past experience with lower end cellcams has held me back. I will keep watching this thread for updates.
May I ask which ones you had a poor experience with?

It was a stealth 3g cam. I can get the model when I get home and post it for you. It was a couple years ago and I had numerous issues. Occasionally it would work and having pics sent directly to my phone was a game changer for me. After all of the issues I dealt with over the course of the season, the camera ended up just dying on me late December, never to power up again....

There are a couple of spots that I hunt that are very hard for me to access. The ability to keep an eye on things without disturbing the deer there would really increase my odds next fall. I think I may just breakdown and invest in a quality name brand (read "expensive") but cams do occasionally walk away in my area and that would be a huge hit to me.... decisions, decisions....

Camera came in yesterday afternoon, 3 days before expected!!

Initial impressions are how simple it was to setup, create my SPYPOINT account and operate the camera.

Granted I haven’t put it out in the woods, yet, but pictures aren’t terrible and everything is working as needed. Hope I’m not jinxing myself, but as of now I’m satisfied.

Will further update in roughly 2 months after I pull the camera. Battery life isn’t but 1.5-2.5 months on these units supposedly*

Still waiting on spypoint, they received my camera on the 5th. If you do get a camera, please refer someone else when you set it up, you both get a month of unlimited free pics and a huge discount on the next one you buy.

@BCHunter any update to your camera?

They've had my camera for 2 weeks, I sent it in because it stopped working. I did all the troubleshooting, updated the software, and had the techs look at the files from the SD card. They told me to send it in. I called after 10 days of them recieving it, customer service said they couldn't tell where it was in the process. Tech support was having technical issues, so they couldn't transfer me to them... I sent them an email, still waiting on any word about my warranty/repair. I haven't gotten anything saying they recieved it, just from my tracking number.

Ah man I’m sorry.. I sent them an email 4 days ago regarding my Link Micro not sending me photos to my phone, no response as of yet.

I hope they get you taken care of, seems as if the sub $150 cell cameras has them far extended beyond their current capabilities!!

Yeah, a co-worker's has stopped working too. He has the spypoint solar battery pack on it too. He hasn't been able to get out there to check it, but not looking good.

Justin - did you only buy one?

yeah, I almost bought another one, but dealing with the customer service it awful. I understand stuff happens, and things break, but this has been pulling teeth.

ugh so 0 for 1 - not a good ratio was tempted when you made post 1 then saw you had issues and have held off - really would like to get a cell cam given I'm 3 hours from my properties but cost and reliability scare me

Thanks for sharing @BCHunter . I know several people running several different brands of the cellular trail cams and the reliability isn’t consistent with any brand. Even the guys who don’t have issues with the camera itself are having to go turn them off and back on every couple weeks because of signal issues. The only reason I want a cellular cam is so I can stay out of those areas but still see what’s going on. If I have to go mess with a camera every couple weeks I will just use a standard trail cam and check it.

Man I really wanted these to work out! After @ricky racer posted a sale, I stood in front of these yesterday at Academy for like 40 minutes trying to talk myself into it for $119 and ended up not doing it based not only on the issues @BCHunter had, but also his reports of poor/slow customer service. I have been using 3 Bigfoot cell camera's for a year now and have a combined 5,000 pictures transmitted with absolutely no issues at all. They are $199 on Amazon and it's a family owned business based out of Colorado with excellent customer service. Just wanted to share a good experience.

Yeah, it's tough for the price.... but I'd pay more for good customer service. I need to look into into Bigfoot.

I bought 2 more Saturday online from Academy Sports for $119.99 and then applied the promo code and subtracted $20 dollars off that so I got each one for $109.......did each cam separately so I could get the $20 off both. All 3 of mine are working good. 2 will be going to Kentucky this weekend and hopefully sending me some good bucks to look for opening week:)
