Looking into getting the Phantom but I wonder how the bridge will handle the wear/stress if you clip into the bridge for the ascent like I see in some videos. I like the idea of the adjustable bridge but how well will it hold it's position or would it be better off to either have a harness or make a short bridge?

I use a short sling as my short bridge. I don’t like the prusik on the adjustable bridge messing with the carabiner while ascending. Also there is no movement when I’m ascending. The adjustable bridge is great at staying out of the way though.

I have used my phantom with the adjustable bridge for DRT climbing and find no problem with the prusik getting an the way of my DRT biner. I have climbed three of four times with it and will again in a few minutes.

I like the adjustable bridge, not had any issues with climbing, what i really like for DRT is setting the bridge for the maximum arm length to pull up, I don't use the blakes hitch just a prusik tied into a distel hitch set then fine tune on the bridge, oh and i tied a distel on the bridge itself instead of the prusik I found it bit too hard, but thats just me,regards wayne
