Stabilizer Vs. No Stabilizer

Took mine off. Needed a slight right sight tweak. First arrow where I look. Second arrow split the first. Been awhile since I've done that. No stab for me. I hate the pic formatting...

I just re worked my old quest qs33 for my soon to be. I put new strings on. It specd right away. Put the ez v on from her mission. Set her nose button and peep. She was holding steady all day and drilling target dots 20-25 yards. First time ever really shooting it. But the older bows seemed more traditional grip and angle. I shoot it identical to her groupings with a thumb and she uses a wrist rocket. Brace height does have a lot of effect to. I went from a smaller brace and ata to back to a larger brace height and ata.

Man this same thing happened to me last year using a 9” stabilizer. I now just shoot with a shorty and mini rear side stabilizer. If I put anything far out front my accuracy decreases. This is just enough to make it balanced and nothing more. Plus I don’t like getting brush all hung up when I’m in that thick nasty woods.

I just joined the stabilizer world. 12” up front and 8” side. So far I find my groups improving even with additional weight. The bubble on my sight seems to settle centered very quickly at full draw
Your bow looks an awful lot like mine, except mine came in Elevated II lol

Now that some of you have mentioned it, stabilizer on I was bubble left, stabilizer off I was center on draw without adjustment. It was a constant battle before tilting my bow back counter clockwise.

Hmm....you guys are tempting me, l was actually thinking of going longer stab and adding a side one. The guy that l got my bow from said his tech recommended a side stab to balance out the quiver on this model of bow. I dont shoot with quiver on so never did that. Im worried about shot vibrations because the way my bow is now its super quiet. Guess testing time later.

Yep. You need at least 12" out front. You should probably just go ahead and pull the trigger on this one.

I thought the girth was more important than length?

I am putting 2 index marks on the micro adjuster for the side stab. One is balanced with quiver installed(minus one arrow) and the other is without quiver

I don't use a stabilizer.... 1 day I will mount a light there
I run a predator light for a stabilizer on my old Bear. It works pretty good, but on my new hoyt, it has a low stabilizer that is built into the bow. It also has typical mount locations for a regular long stabilizer but I don’t need it. That thing shoots so smoothly that I don’t notice any torquing at all. Although it’s definitely heavier than I expected a carbon bow to be

You might like that little apex rear stabo I got that goes on the string stop. Fairly cheap and has stopped that from happening to me. Small too which is a plus for me.

After following some of the advices on this thread. I can say from my own personal experience from testing my setup. I think you all are crazy. I shoot way better with a front stabilizer. I then add the quiver and a side stab and was even better. I always been a no quiver on guy, but I might change that due to result.

My paper tune says I suck with out it. Would figure that affect my accuracy. Trying a side stab. Seems to help a little. Not sure if it's worth it.
