Anyone who is using this for their tether as a prussic or kleimheist, would you recommend this in as 13.5'' or 19''?

i bought a kong duck and dont think its safe by itself afrter reading more threads. especially if i go with one sticking next season. still deciding what method i want to use.

FYI, if you plan to use this as your main connection point Sterling specifically states not to do so. If you are using it as a back up to something else that is okay. Sounds like you are wanting to add it to your system in conjuction with the Kong Duck so it would be acceptable for those purposes. I haven't tried the HollowBlock on Oplux (plan to pick one up to test). The Beal Jammy would work for what you are trying to accomplish. It does work with the OpLux.

interesting. glad i asked. will the jammy work solo

ok i may just go with that then. is that one size only?

Jammy will work solo, it comes in different lengths. I found with the 35cm Jammy as an autoblcok that I have to squeeze every milimeter out of the length to get enough wraps. If it's not a big deal to you I would buy the shortest and middle length options and see which you prefer. @DanO with Eastern Woods Outdoors carries the Jammys.

I tired both this week as a back up to my Safeguard. The hollowblock does NOT reliably grab on Oplux. The 35 cm Beal Jammy in a 5 wrap Klemhisest works great.

Well I won't waste my money just for testing. Thanks for the info. I'll stick with my Jammy.

Agreed. Here is a pic of the 35cm Jammy tied in a Klemheist. This works great. @Squirrels is correct about needing to use all the length to get enough wraps.

Concur. I tested this a few seasons ago with my safeguard 6 feet off the ground. Opened the safeguard up wide open and I zipped right down the rope and smacked into the ground. It’s my feeling the hollow nature of the cord doesn’t allow it to bite well enough on the smaller diameter line that is the oplux. I think I read somewhere where Sterling didn’t recommend its usage on oplux.
