Switching back to fixed heads

I've had great luck with Magnus. After leaving mechanical heads, before going to single bevel broadheads, I went to Magnus for several years and used the 100 grain Stinger Buzzcut 4 blades mostly. I've destroyed several on bucks, but it destroyed the buck in the process so no complaints. I never turned the broadheads back for the warranty since they did the job.

I’ve also been running magnus with great luck. They are affordable enough that I’m not heartbroken if a tip gets bent or chipped. They are also easy to sharpen. At some point I’ll consider dropping coin on something more robust, but the stingers are simple and effective and you don’t need special tools to keep them sharp.

Of the 3 I've only shot the black hornet. I've killed few deer, a turkey and some raccoons. I love them but I the serrated ones get tore up easy. But with the warranty it's whatever. I don't plan on shooting anything else.

Good deal y’all! I went ahead and ordered 1 pack of the killer bee stingers. I like the bleeders and wanted a solid blade. I’ll get another pack if I still like them after I send a few down range.
My new bow is out for delivery, but it’ll be a few weeks yet before I can even think about pulling it back. Somehow I don’t think having it in hand is gonna help my patience level…….it’s already bad

Instead of starting a new thread on broadheads, I found this one and this^^^ post!
Thanks for sealing the deal for me! I’m about to order those Magnus! I wondered about the Lifetime Warranty they advertise too. I guess so long as I don’t lose them, I should be good. I caught a THP video podcast and they were reviewing a bunch of heads. The knock-off brand like that Magnus, bent real bad. I’ve always bought knock-off heads, but gonna get the real ones this time!
Yeah I’d recommend the legit ones. Not only are you supporting the company but obviously they’ll perform better. FWIW I’ve shot both the black hornet and the buzzcuts and I like the black hornet better for my setup. The shorter bh helps with my heavier foc arrows and I feel like the wider blade does more damage and causes more hemorrhaging. Could just be seat of the pants dyno results on my part but it works for me so ima run it.

I shot the Black Hornet Serazors this past season with some new heavy foc arrows (not too heavy 590 gr. 20% foc) and blew right through the deer I shot. 24 yards broadside. Easy to re sharpen too. I sharpened them out of the package and had them hair poppin sharp. Fwiw I have been using NAP Thunderherads for many years and I like this head better mostly because it's built "heavier" even though its still 125 grains. They also shot dead on with my field points at 30 yards and I do mean dead on like same hole dead on.

I've got some Stingers (2-blades) as backup to my 'meat axe' arrows. Haven't had a chance to shoot anything with either since switching from Montecs. I like the Innovative Outdoorsman sharpening jigs, using Harbor Freight wet/dry sandpaper on melamine sheet to sharpen.

Striker G5 X shoots really well for me. Same point of impact as my field points. Very, very sharp blades. There is a reason that they include a band aid in the package. Handle with care if you are replacing the blades. I found out the hard way.
