Where the skys are so blue!
Anybody have a lot of time using them? I keep entertaining the idea of filming hunts, and really like their scope adapter kit (FTS). Seems like I could use it on my shotgun for duck and squirrel hunting, and on my crossbow and rifle scope for deer hunting.

Got one for Xmas but haven't tried it while shootin

My buddy and I will be using them on our shotguns at the end of the month on our annual bunny hunt. I'll also wear a wide angle version on my head to capture more action and all the missed shots better. Can't wait to see how it works and then be able to use the same camera on my shotgun for turkey season, then on my bow for deer, and then on my rifle out west, etc.

I read somewhere that they dropped the price down on the 5.0 to $299. I also think that there is a way to add a “red dot” point of aim indicator like the Shotkam has on the 5.0. I am not sure about either of these claims, so maybe someone else can way in.

Yes, lowest advertised price can be $299 now, but I didn't see anything about a red dot while visiting their booth at the ATA show. I may have missed that though.

I got that information from customer service about a year ago when I was asking about it as an option like Shotkam has. I have never seen or heard about it anywhere else that would confirm it though

My buddy had one that we played around with... it is kind of cool, however, attempting to a video a shotgun/rifle that is recoiling or the vibrations accompanying shooting a bow leaves some to be desired with the pics associated with the shot (or immediately thereafter - unless this has been addressed with newer models)! That being said, better than dragging camera gear into the woods and still gets you some pre-shot video!

I just heard back from their customer service and there is a “red dot” feature that you can turn on through the app

I got one late season and filmed a few muzzleloader does I killed, One was at 165 yards and dropped in her tracks and the other 2 were on the same hunt about a half hour between each other. On the first hunt I had a great film because I was thinking about the shot and actually filming it with the camera mounted and the last 2 all I was thinking is "RELOAD!!!!" hahaha I like it and I cant wait to get some footage during turkey.I didn't use the FTS but my friend does and killed a few deer with that.
