So Gents, I figured I would share something I've been doing that has been very comfortable and gets 2 birds stoned at the same time. (kills 2 birds with one stone lol)
I have a couple pairs of tactical pants i was issued that are awesome for saddle hunting IMO. They have knee remove-able knee pads and very comfortable. (brands are Crye Precision and Patagonia). Im gonna share some info and share some pics. I think some of you guys would really like these.

Pros:
- Various size adjustments for comfort; waist, multiple down leg (i like to tighten so you don't get the swish sound when the fabric rubs) and ankle.
- Included knee pads that are very comfortable and removable (Crye Precision pants and Crye knock-offs have adjuster in small thigh pocket to adjust elevation of knee pad for perfect fit) Works great for one stick climbing with the knee pads always there. And you don’t get that around the knee constricted feeling with knee pads that wrap around the leg.
- A ton of pockets
- Both have stretch fabric in all the right places if ya know what I'm saying

Cons:
- Legit brands like Crye and Patagonias (not available for purchase unless second hand) are very expensive $250-275, that being said there are a ton of knock offs that are priced cheaper than most hunting pants and have all the same features. I bought some to test and destroy during deployments, they held up just like the real deal. Could tell the material and stitching wasn’t as good but not $200 worse.
- Camo Patterns, limited to military camo patterns but IMO multicam is a great pattern that actually blends in
- Velcro, yes its noises and all the pockets have it but you can easily remove and replace with buttons

So there really isn’t any cons unless you can’t get pass the camo patter but I hope some of you enjoyed and find some awesome pants!

I've been looking at buying a pair, not sure if I'm gonna go with the real deal or the slightly cheaper version. Figured I could use em for saddle hunting and spot and stalk if I had to crawl.

I’ll be honest, the knock-off airsoft pairs I got are fine. The only thing I noticed with the Crye style knee pads is the knock-offs had less Velcro around the inner edges and were more prone to sneaking the edges out but that could easily be fixed. The real deals are super nice though. I’d say wouldn’t go wrong either way but they’re great run and gun hunting pants for sure.

I looked at the Crye’s, but I ain’t paying no dang $250 for a pair of pants.

I have Arcteryx knee pads and love them, but I didn’t put them on to demo one sticking at the Carolina’s get together last week or when I hung some cameras up high this week and now I have “one stick knees”

Lol them knees look tender buddy!

yeah the arcteryx are nice for sure, I have a knockoff pair of cryes in woodland camo that I wear quite a bit and they were $50with knee pads! I recommend the knockoffs honestly.

These are the ones I was looking at, reviews seem pretty solid.

They look legit, try and find reviews of the sizing. I’ve heard sometimes they’re Asian sized and you need at least one size larger. But yeah they look legit.
Emerson and flash force makes good copies of the Crye pants too

55 year old knees, you take what you can get, lmao.

If I buy those pants I'm gonna get the 38s, I wear 36 or large and have room for a base layer, one of the reviews I read said he went with a 36 because he wears 34 and it was perfect.
