Taxidermy question where to find a Jackalope

No, never seen one before. They seem to have a lot of pent up aggression. I wouldn't want to stumble into a nest of those things.
There is a reason a successful clutch has never been recorded....all the videographers who've tried unfortunately met a tragic, bloody end

My first year hunting, my buddy shot a forkie in the back ham with a mechanical that deployed in flight. The deer died, but it was a nightmare track that spanned almost two miles. He was using lower-KE broadheads for a crossbow and he didn’t realize until he had shot at another deer and missed (thankfully) because the same thing happened. Checked his gear finally and the light switched on, you gotta buy crossbow-specific mechs or fixed heads.
So he got that forkie skull-capped and mounted over the light switch in his bedroom so he always has a reminder to turn the bulb on and check him and his before he goes out into the world.
That said, just to end with: I fully support the jackalope and if I get me a few cottontails this winter I’ll send you the hide lol.

There was a member on here who is/was a professional taxidermist if I remember correctly but can't remember the name

I believe you can buy them from most taxi. supply outfits, Van Dyke,McKenzie, etc. The best looking are real antlers. Cut off brow tines and put on a rabbit form. The plastic ones don't look so hot.

@Jimmyfunk60 will you keep us posted on the progress if you do this? Some diy jackalope mount?

I sure will at this point I ordered some mountain mikes euro kits to put his horns on but I’m still on the hunt for a mount.. I think most cost effective is buying one and putting my horns on it.. off to eBay
