Well I got us some points...first saddle buck..little guy. Made a bad shot but recovered him....im gonna hold off posting him to see if I get something better. Just had to get one in the saddle....have to say I loved it.
Post it up. You can always replace it if you get a bigger one! Or use it as your 5 pter if I'm remembering the rules correctly.

Oh, and congrats!

Thanks. Do i post it here?
Post it here:

I went out this morning for my first sit at the house. Was raining and lightening. Had one yearling doe come in. My wife’s working so I had to take baby monitor with me for our 2 year old. Only got to spend an hour but was a good first sit. Patiently waiting on her to get home so
I can head to the farm.

Congrats man!

Season starts here Saturday. Took 3 shots this morning, no warm up and then put the bow away. shooting the recurve at 18yrds. Pullled the last one, but I'm pretty happy. Not sure I'll be in the saddle, opening day, but we;ll see. Good luck out there everyone!

Passed a couple of forkies on opening morning today, the bigger one tempted me :)

If everyone on the team commits to at least getting 2 does we will have this thing won by a long shot.

Got me another today after missing my personal best yesterday morning...was feeling a bit depressed. Not quite the redemption i hoped for but ill take it..definitely made me feel better...plus it has been awesome training these pups to find the deer.20191001_153959.jpg20191001_154551.jpg

would like to get into trad hunting one day
..just so little time...lol

I have been out twice so far and will be hitting the woods tonight. First sit I saw a 6 pointer that I really want to kill. Big old mature buck and he is for sure to his ears if not past. We have had a point restriction for the last 4 or 5 years (had to be at least 4 on one side.)

Last year I had a 2.5 year old at 10 yards that had 10 inch spikes on each side.

Going out tonight, supposed to be 15mph winds, so hopefully i can sneak in close and be undetected. Any doe that wasn't born this year is in danger. Bucks I'll be holding out for 8 or better till december... then it's fair game.

We’re getting a front moving in tomorrow it’s goinng to go from 98 degrees to 70s I’ll be in the woods by 12 to sit all day hopefully get another one.

Saw a couple does sneaking away from me, they had come in from down wind. It was way to windy to hear anything, it was the first time I've been cold since April :)

Openning day here tomorrow. Supposed to be a hard freeze, low 20s when I wakeup. Haven't had time to do aany scouting or get any presets up. Planning on hunting in the ghillie from the ground in the morning(sorry guys), tree in the evening. Need some better beta before I stick myself in a tree.
