Opening day yesterday, the first set up of the year. 3 or 4 trails converge at a punch point to the right in the picture. I had it backwards, I got blown at just after last light from the left. I only really had that small hole just by my scope to shoot most of the trails but there was one closer to the bottom, and on directly under me. In the mix is a win for me, lol.

@philsanchez76 , I haven't found a spot like that yet, or ever. The sign I'm seeing i suspect is the young bucks getting worked up but I'm within a few weeks to a month of peak rut so the big guys should be getting excited too.
"In the mix" is great for me too! I love having deer encounters more so than killing deer. On Monday I had a 20 minute stare down with a spike who walked up on me while I was setting up a camera at that scrape.

4 for 4 on deer in my zip code this year. No shots yet. Not sure If I want to go out tonight but I know I'm going to end up going. Definitely have a plan for the morning so long as the wind is ok.

On an evening hunt if I'm set up near the transition from wooded to a lower wetter area which way is my stink going assuming calm to no wind?

I’m no thermal expert by any means but I would believe that it would drop into and flow the cooler wetter area. But then again that’s why I always drop milkweed and see.
